The Moraga Police Department accepts applications for Level I and Level
II Reserve Officers. Reserve Officer applicants must have completed the
appropriate POST training prior to application. For more information call

A Moraga Police Cadet is a community service position where young persons have an opportunity to explore the career field of law enforcement and partake in activities of the police department.
Being a Police Cadet is an excellent way for young persons to interact and explore the vast areas of law enforcement. Police Cadets are given numerous tasks and responsibilities, which allow him/her to become knowledgeable and appreciative of the areas of local government and law enforcement.
Police Cadets are allowed to participate in department sponsored training
to acquaint them with the policies, procedures and principals of the Moraga
Police Department and the Criminal Justice System.

- Motivation in a career in law enforcement
- U.S. citizen, 16-22 years of age
- Posses a valid California Driver License and have a good driving record
- Enrolled in high school or college with a 2.5 GPA or better
- Good physical and mental condition
- Good moral character
- Volunteer a minimum of 4 hours per week
- Pass an oral board and background investigation
